Dogs with Special Needs

Deaf and/or Blind
Do you share your life with a deaf, blind or deaf and blind dog? Not only do I have experience working with these specially abled dogs, but I live with one too! After adopting Matilda, 10 years ago, I had a hard time finding information and guidance on living with and training a deaf dog. I set out to find as much information as I could, as well as molding “normal” training to meet our needs. I am excited to offer this service as a specialty that is close to my heart.

Seniors
I know what you’re thinking - senior dogs aren’t special needs! To me, seniors are very special and should be treated as the angels that they are. I love helping seniors learn how to move their bodies in a more meaningful way to help maintain and build muscle. I also think it is important to help them keep their mind sharp through mental stimulation activities. Adding in meaningful and gentle movement and mental stimulation can be just that bit of extra that our senior dogs need to help them feel happy and fulfilled in their later years.
